Toy Museum in Eschede

Richard and Hildegard Markmann have been collecting toys and dolls in Eschede for many decades. In the course of time they have gathered an impressive collection.
As the collection became bigger and bigger at Eschede's old pharmacy it is now open to the public under the name Escheder Spielzeugstuben since June 2000. By now the exhibition can be seen on proud 200 square metres.

Apart from the many dolls made of different materials and of course from popular producers like Schildkröt and Käthe-Kruse there are also Steiff animals, dolls' houses, carousels, rocking horses and also tin toys and steam engines on show.
There is something to admire for everybody and for many memories of ones own toys will come flooding back.

Visitors may enjoy the Spielzeugstube Tuesdays to Fridays from 9am - 12nn and 3pm - 6pm and at other times by prior telephone request under 05142 / 831
Of course the family Markmann has a homepage and so one is able to get first impressions and lots more information. do take a look.
