That we human beings live as people and leave a honest memory is due to papyrus.
(Pinius '79 AD)

This can be transferred to paper especially.

With grace as it's craft!

(This was the greeting by journing paper makers in the past)

Paper has been produced in Lachendorf since 1538.
Duke 'Ernest the Confessor' constructed the paper-mill in Lachendorf to cover the increasing paper demand of chambers. Today it's the second oldest paper factory (or the oldest still independently producing paper factory) Germany.

Paper is at a glance an everyday product; but paper is also the carrier and preserver of writs and depictions and can pass on knowledge. .

Today paper is always available. That is the reason why everybody takes it for granted.

But the discovery and development and distribution were decisive for the worldwide promotion.
