The Bomann-Museum was founded as 'Patriotic Museum' in 1892

The Bomann-Museum is situated opposite the Herzogschloß. It is one of the most worth seeing museums and the third largest museum in Lower Saxony. It is named after its founder and first museum's director Wilhelm Bomann.
The permanent exhibitions offer among others:
Hearth and Home,
Heather - Honey - Hightech.
In a museum 'inside the museum', will the visitor find himself when he views the original built-in farmhouse from the Gründerzeit (years of rapid industrial expansion in Germany).
